Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located in south-western Uganda in the Kanungu District. The Bwindi forest is on the edge of the Albertine Rift, at elevations ranging from 1,160 to 2,607 metres. With its proximity to the equator means that temperatures are very consistent throughout the year, hovering around 23°C in the day and dropping to roughly 11°C at night.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest got its name from the Runyakitara word Mubwindi that mean a place full of darkness”.which means the park covers an area of 321 km2 all of which is forested with some areas being covered by bamboo and shrubs. And because of the dense forest, Bwindi receives good rains all year and has cool temperatures even when the rest of the country is experiencing a dry spell.
Though Bwindi Impenetrable Forest harbors different wild species like over 200 tree species, more than 104 species of ferns and over 1,000 flowering plants, almost 200 butterfly species, forest elephants and several species of antelopes. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of the only conservation areas in the world where chimpanzees and mountain gorillas share the same habitat with over half of the world’s mountain Gorillas population.

DAY1: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
At the Airport you will meet your safari guide for a short briefing for your 3 days gorilla trekking safari and start a long drive of 8-9hrs road trip southwards. After 72km drive we shall have our first stopover at the equator for the photographic moment and then proceed to the next town for lunch depending on time, after lunch we shall continue with our drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. On this road trip your eyes will be looking at amazing things road side vegetable markets, local drum makers in Mpambire, local food plantations, landscapes etc. Finally we arrive at the lodge where we shall have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: GORILLA TREKKING DAY
Today ready to meet our cousins in the jungle your safari guide will meet you up from the lodge and transfer you to the briefing point at 7 am before the forest opens doors for you to trek gorilla. Upon arrival at the briefing point, while waiting for the briefing to start, cultural entrainment with the Bakiga women will take place. After brief guidelines will be assigned to the ranger guide and they will allocate you to the gorilla family and finally start your gorilla trek in the forest of Bwindi. You start a walk into the mountain to trek gorillas and If you have some inabilities, so you are advised to hire a porters to help you carry your backpacker or yourself and give a hand on the steep slippery path. You will happy spend an hour will the gorillas taking selfies and photos. Thereafter the gorilla trek your guide picks you and you start the beautiful journey down the mountains, through villages and reach the lodge at the edge of Queen Elizabeth NP’s southern sector to have a night your 3 days gorilla trekking safari Accomodation: Topi lodge
Day 3: TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE FOR FLIGHT.
On this day, we have a long day drive to Kampala/Entebbe for for optional activity or fly back home and that’s makes the end of your 3 days gorilla trekking safari
