This 2days Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari gives you a chance to encounter the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat of volcanoes national park which is 3 hours drive away from Kigali city the cleanest city in East Africa. The flourishing lush slopes of these extinct Virunga volcanoes offer a dramatic natural setting for the most thrilling wildlife experiences. Volcanoes national parks is also home to the elusive guenon monkeys, golden monkeys, buffalos among others. DAY 1
ARRIVE IN RWANDA
VISIT GENOCIDE MEMORIAL SITE

TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Arrive at Kigali airport in the morning and meet your safari guide briefs you about the 2days Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari, Visit the Genocide memorial site for observation and learning about the shading of blood during the 1994 genocide, then after head out for the Kigali city tour, also visit some local markets, then have lunch and embark on the transfer to Volcanoes National park which is 80km north of Kigali city with an altitude of 2400m to 4,507m. Check in and relax, we shall have a cultural tour of the Ibywachu village in the evening. Have dinner and overnight as you prepare for tomorrow’s main activity gorilla trekking. DAY 2
TREKKING GORILLAS
TRANSFER TO KIGALI
After early breakfast your guide picks you and transfer to the Park offices by 7:00 am for the briefing about the do’s and don’ts of the Gorilla Trekking activity. After the briefing, embark on the Mountain Gorilla trekking via the paths in the bamboo forests, this adventurous activity to track the mountain gorillas. When you meet the gorillas face to face you will observe them jumping from branch to branch, feeding, playing, and grooming. Take as many pictures and videos as you wish and only 1 hour is given to trekkers to keep closer to these gentle giants. You will also spot buffaloes, monkeys, birds, and forest elephants through the forests. Later, transfer back to the lodge for lunch before checking out and transfer back to Kigali to your hotel or the airport.
