Bwindi impenetrable National Park
In South western Uganda at the edge of the western Great Rift Valley, hugging the border of the Democratic Republic of Congo, lies Bwindi Forest. Theatrical mountain formations are swathed in 331 square kilometers of the thick tropical forest that earned the name ‘Bwindi Impenetrable’. Deep in the undergrowth, we encounter families of mountain gorillas in the intimacy of their own home. Almost every visitor of this secluded habitat describes the meeting as a moving, near spiritual experience never to be forgotten.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda. Take a domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip, which is the closest airport to Bwindi National Park Once you reach the airstrip you will picked by our ready waiting driver guide to Bwindi impenetrable forest, check-in at your chosen accommodation and rest up for the next day’s adventure. Wake up early and have a hearty breakfast. Head to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park’s headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla group to trek, based on your fitness level and other factors. Start the thrilling gorilla trek with a group of experienced guides and trackers, who will lead you through the dense forest in search of the gorillas. Once you find a gorilla group, spend up to an hour observing them from a safe distance. It’s an incredible and unforgettable experience to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your accommodation and relax. You may also have the option to take a guided nature walk or visit the local community for cultural experiences. On your last day, you have a couple of options: If you want to explore more of Bwindi’s natural beauty, consider going on a nature walk or hiking one of the park’s scenic trails. a cultural encounter with the local communities, such as the Batwa pygmies, to learn about their traditional lifestyle, dances, and crafts. After lunch, check out from your lodge. Drive back to Kihihi Airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe International Airport.
